Zinfandel with a touch of Syrah Available for Your Private Label Wine

'06 Zinfandel California

Zinfandel 2006 Available For Private Label

I recently received a sample of 2006 California Zinfandel from a Napa winery friend of mine.  The wine is youthful and dense, with dusty tannins on the palate and a focused core of cranberry spice and bright acidity.

Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2008 available for your Private Label Wine

Small Production Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

A few days ago I received a couple of samples of 2008 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands from a small, passionate producer of hand-made wines.  Last night I tasted this wine and was quite impressed.  The color is deep and dark, with a lot of density for a pinot noir.  Aromas of black cherries, cranberries and a bit of sous-bois on the nose.  On the palate the wine is mouth-filling, with juicy fruits balanced by acidity and tea tannins, and a long, smooth finish.
